… Runkle was quite well represented in last weekend’s Brookline Education Foundation’s 5th Grade Spelling Bee!  Three of the six finalists, including Spelling Bee Runner-up Quinn Kennedy, were from Runkle School.  Congratulations to all of our 5th graders who participated!

• 5th graders Lila and Dylan, who participated in the Brookline Education Foundation’s 5th Grade Spelling Bee last Sunday, and who both made it to the Championship Round!  

• 6th graders Rohan and Josh, 7th graders Samantha and Varun, and 8th graders Nathan, Anay, Maria, and Seth, on advancing to Runkle’s March MadChess Elite Eight!

• 8th grader Anay, for reciting 88 digits of pi this past Monday (March 14, aka 3.14)!

Attention all 5th grader families!  The Brookline Educator’s annual 5th Grade Spelling Bee is scheduled for Sunday, March 13 at 1 pm at BHS.  5th grade families should have received an email last week from the BEF with more details.  Last year’s winning word, by the way, was a 10-letter word starting with ‘c’ meaning ‘changing often and quickly, in mood or behavior’…
