Where: Larz Anderson Park

How will they get there? All students will take the bus from Runkle to Larz Anderson

Will there be chaperones? Yes, Ms. Schultz, Mr. McTaggart, Colleen Ryan and parent volunteers will be available at the field and on the bus.

How long will the meet last? The students will be running in groups according to their grade levels.  When they are finished running, they will have the opportunity to watch the rest of the runners, eat their snack and talk with their friends, with adult supervision at all times.

When the meet is over, buses will leave Larz Anderson and head back to school. Generally, they arrive back at school by 1:00pm.

What should they wear? Dress for the day. If it is cold, and generally by the end of October it will be, please bring sweatshirts and long pants for after the run. Sneakers are a must.

Should my child bring a snack? Yes, they should have drinks and snacks, or a lunch with them for the day. Certainly, they will need water for after the run.

Can parents help? Yes! We would love to have some parent volunteers to help at the meet. Sometimes we just need extra hands to help out, other times, it’s just nice for students to see parents there.

We wish to hold the exchange, as before, in each elementary-middle school with collection on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and exchange/sale on Thursday morning followed by exchange/sale of remaining cleats pooled from all schools on Thursday evening and Saturday morning.  We can only run it in schools where we have volunteers.
