Dear RUNKLE COMMUNITY,

Are we ready for a full week of school? With all the amazing events going on at Runkle we think so! Parents, you are all welcome to take part in these PTO supported events:

  • Parent Information Session on Literacy, Tues, 8:05am.
  • Author MarcyKate Connolly Presents Her New Book Shadow Weaver to Grade 4, Tues, 9:30-10:30am, Library.
  • Runkle Book Swap, Thur, 2:30-5:30pm.
  • Skating Under the Stars at Larz Anderson, Sat, 6:45-9pm.

18-20-2We also wanted to remind you of a few great things that happened last week. The PTO Annual Fund sponsored the ImprovBoston visit to Grade 6 classes, an exciting and innovative program that combined the humor and fun of improv performance with a STEM focus. We had a great turnout for our K-2 Parent Gathering. Runkle had auditions for the Grade 7-8 musical, Grade 5 performed their chorus concert and we had the Puerto Rico Trivia Night Fundraiser, put on by Grade 8 student Henry Chuang and his team. They wanted to say a thank you:

“Tuesday night the Runkle community came together to show support for Puerto Rico and their recovery from massive hurricane damage. We have raised $750 and counting! Thanks to all the families who made the event a success, Ms. Jean-Michel, Ms. Finnigan, Ms. Sneider, and especially Ms. Paris, who spent so much time coaching the students. Thanks to the PTO for support, tables, and so much more! The parents for their time and food: Carolina, Donna, Jeniely, Karla, Natalia, and Rachel. And all the middle school volunteers, Abby, Alex, Alice, Anna, Charles, Elliott, Henry, Kendall, Kyle, Lilia, Sidvin, Rabol, and Vivian. Thanks Runkle!”

Sincerely,
Runkle PTO (pto null@null runkle NULL.org) co-chairs Dorothy Charles, Amy Bacon and Sharon Brockmann
