Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Music Man!  Special thanks to the parents who went above and beyond to assist Director Jenn Vento and the students with much of the behind-the-scenes work to mount this musical production, and thanks as well to our PTO!  I am working with Ms. Vento and Ms. Schwartzberg (who directs our 8th grade dramatic play) on finalizing the dates for next year’s shows so that students and their families can put them on their calendars as soon as possible!  I hope to announce the 2016-2017 theatrical dates by the end of this month.

Congratulations to Maria Mercado Rengel, the winner of our inaugural March MadChess Tournament!   It’s been a pleasure watching these matches, talking strategy with the participants, and seeing Chess become a focal point of discussion and excitement throughout the school.  Going forward, we are planning on purchasing Chess sets for use in all of Runkle’s classrooms.

If you have not done so already, please complete the Public Schools of Brookline Parent Feedback Survey, sent via email from Panorama Education.

The Town-wide Orchestra/Young Composers concert that was snowed out last Monday will be taking place this Monday night in our Multipurpose Room.  Also in the Multi this week will be the Kindergarten Concert on Tuesday morning, the Runkle Extended Day play Tuesday night, and the 6th Grade Living History project on Thursday day for students and night for parents.

Finally, we hope to see you at this Friday morning’s Superintendent Forum with Dr. Connelly, to be held in our Library.
