Hello, everyone. Thank you to all who were able to participate in this past week’s Superintendent search forums.  I myself greatly enjoyed meeting our three distinguished finalists and discussing Brookline education and administration with each of them.  I anticipate the metaphorical “white smoke” to emanate from the School Committee chimney sometime soon!
This Tuesday, which is Primary Day in Massachusetts, the eighth-grade parents and students will be putting on a bake sale in the main lobby both before and after school.  Proceeds will go towards the eighth-graders’ Runkle-culminating trip to New York City in June.
Congratulations to the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams, both of whom have finished their regular seasons with winning records and are advancing to the playoffs!  Semifinal games will be next Monday, March 7.
Congratulations as well to the fifth- and sixth-grade Math League team on their fourth-place finish in their most recent competition. Runkle did win the Operations category trophy at that meet. The final meet of the season is Thursday, March 10.
Go Runkle!
Jim Stoddard
