Shadow Studies
In response to concerns about the length of shadows that might be cast over the site (and the properties of abutters), the architects prepared a shadow study. These were presented at the April 30th meetings of the Runkle School Building Committee and the Brookline School Committee. There are two studies for each of the designs, with a “snapshot” of the shadows on two different dates: March 20th (the spring equinox), and December 20th (the winter solstice).
These shadow studies are also useful for seeing a 3-D view of how the different designs occupy the site. Please leave comments related to B1 and B2 here.
